See an interactive graphic of orca hunting. In August, we reported that scientists had found a new and unusual species of frog in India's Western Ghats mountain range.

The frog has shiny, purple skin, a light blue ring around its eyes, and a pointy pig-nose. Together, the two make up the only known members of their family. Very informative book on a plethora of subjects. If you like delving into the really odd and weird sometimes, this is the book for you. Thank you,. I'm generally a fan of the "uncle johns" and "stupid history" type factoid-quick-read books. This one didn't quite come up to par.

I think National Geo needs to up their game in terms of a bit more humor and edginess. For something called "tales of the weird" it was a bit too much "discovery channel" documentary in content and tone Yet not quite rigorous enough for that. So in the end it hits an unsatisfying "middle ground" between quirky and funny versus providing meaty content. See all 39 reviews.
